On our 5-Day Glacier National Park tour, we ride along the shores of pristine Lake Pend Oreille with views of the Cabinet Mountains!  We ride along the gorgeous Clark Fork River with enormous cliffs towering above the river and then follow the Bull River through the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness area.  We will then ride further north to the remote village of Yaak, which takes us through the Purcell Mountains and across beautiful Lake Koocanusa. We’ll ride south to West Glacier for the evening and stay in rustic cabins on the edge of beautiful and picturesque Lake McDonald!

The next day we ride the famous “Going To The Sun Road” in Glacier National Park! The road climbs with steepness, hairpins, and twisty turns, crossing the Continental Divide and dropping us into lush forests and rushing waterfalls! Glacier is also famous for its historic lodges and chalets.  At this point, we will either turn around, and see “Going To The Sun Road” from the other direction, OR we can continue south around the southern end of the park and up on the southwestern side of Kalispell, where we make a stop at the local Harley-Davidson dealer.  Continuing south, we’ll ride on the west and south side of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area. This area was designated in 1964 and no roads or structures are allowed within its boundaries. We continue riding south to Seeley Lake. This mountain community rests between the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area and the Mission Mountain Wilderness Area! It has been called the valley of the chain lakes and has abundant rivers, wildlife, forests, and obviously, a lot of lakes. Next, we ride into Missoula, Montana, which roughly means river of ambush. The area Indians are from the Salish tribe and their first encounter with white men was the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805.

We’ll spend the next night at Quinn’s hotel and hot springs to soak our muscles! Our last day finds us riding over Thompson Pass, which ends up in quaint, turn of the century, mining towns next to the Coeur d’Alene river, and our final leg into Spokane!
